Talking Threads

All Levels

This presentation and workshop is an opportunity to use traditional embroidery materials to tell modern narratives. We will explore the creative possibilities of drawing and writing by replacing pen and ink with needle and thread, Diana will share some of her work, and participants will start projects of their own. Diana was the creator and curator of ACP's wildly successful Interwoven Stories project. You may bring all of your own materials or purchase a fabric page ($20) or hoop, thread and needle ($10).  Links: www.dianaweymar.com,  http://artscouncilofprinceton.org/2016/10/interwoven-stories/ https://paw.princeton.edu/article/textile-artist-diana-weymar-91-brings-her-craft-princeton https://gynocraticartgallery.com/artists/embelished-embroidery/
