Basics of Drawing

Beginner to Intermediate

This class is suitable for the total beginner or for those who want to brush up on some basic concepts. Learn important principles of drawing in a comfortable, supportive environment. Topics such as: negative and positive space, light and shade, perspective and linear drawing will be covered. Students will draw from still-life and any objects they wish to bring in. Whatever style you like, from realism to abstraction, these basic concepts will help you achieve your goals.  These are small, personalized classes. Guidance will be tailored to your individual need. Enjoy learning and creating in this fun class! Students do not have to have taken an earlier session of Pencil Art to enroll. MATERIALS
1. Drawing paper 11 x 13 or larger
2.  Pencils: Hard & Soft pencils, a few of each:  
Soft: 6B, 5B, 4B, 3B, 2B.   
Hard:  H, 2H, 4H, and 6H.  
3.     Charcoal or Charcoal pencil
4.     Kneaded eraser
5.     Soft blending cloth
6.    Optional:  Ebony drawing pencil, drawing pens
