Colored Pencil II

Beginner to Intermediate

If you are looking for new techniques to incorporate into your visual arts practice, surprise yourself with the versatility, vibrancy and texture of colored pencil. This class will introduce participants to the exciting and diverse world of colored pencil drawing. Students will utilize a variety of exercises to learn techniques such as layering, hatching, blending, and shading. Additionally, the use of various papers and drawing tools will be explored. Instruction will include the use of color, light and shading, and combining colored pencil with other media. Finished drawings will be produced, in addition to drawing exercises. This class is suitable for beginners, as well for those with some experience in drawing. Medium or heavy weight drawing pad, no smaller than 11 x 14
Watercolor paper
Quality watercolor pencils - Assorted colors
Soft eraser
Pen
Soft blending cloth
Water-based paint such as- Watercolors or Acrylics
Optional: Ink, markers, crayons and other media
